Taraghari is a village in the Paddhari Taluka(administrative district) of Rajkot – a district in Gujarat – with a population of over 3500 people. Nakul educated more than 25 farmers on the adverse impacts of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. Teaching them how to make biopesticides and biofertilizers at their farms, Nakul introduced them to sustainable farming practices including Zero Budget Natural Farming or ZBNF for short. Nakul tried convincing the farmers to start farming organic and sustainable in small sectors of the farm and then slowly progress towards complete organic farming.
